This shank is a great fit for the 3" receiver on my F350. In addition, the 9 hole adjustment allows me further downward adjustment to level out my travel trailer with the Fastway WDH.

@BrookeM we pull a 31' travel trailer, around 6,000 lbs with all our camping gear. Typically 10-15 times a year to local campgrounds and one long 3,000 mile round trip from NC to NM. There is a lot of beautiful country to see when you go nice and slow!

@Jeremiah Wow, that is awesome! I can't wait 'til my own kids get just a little bigger to be able to start doing things like road trips and camping. And man! North Carolina to New Mexico? There has got to be a TON of beautiful scenery along the way! Do you have any favorite parks or campground you like to stay at or visit?

@BrookeM any campground with a pool and playground is a big hit with the kids! Let's face it after several hours in the truck anything outside of it is a welcome relief. For me, Crater of Diamonds state park in Murfreesboro AR was very fun. Where else in the world can you dig for diamonds and keep what you find?! The campground itself has long sites with lots of trees to shade your rig from the summer sun, that's a big plus. Wytheville VA KOA is the kids favorite, lots of activities and a fun atmosphere. Where would you plan to take your kids?

What is On Shank of Bullet Proof Hitches Weight Distribution Shank # BPH85RR
Hey John, I am not totally sure what you are asking about but the Bullet Proof Hitches Weight Distribution Shank part # BPH85RR has the standard weight distribution shank adjustment holes that allow it to basically be used with any brand of WD system and in the hitch pin holes that secure it to the hitch it comes with a hitch pin and clip that can be used in either of it's hitch pin holes. Yes, it will Dan. The BulletProof Hitches Weight Distribution Shank for 3" Hitches item # BPH85RR uses the same 1-1/4" hole spacing as Equalizer weight distribution hitch heads. The BulletProof item # BPH85RR fits a 3" hitch receiver and has a 22,000 lbs towing capacity and a maximum tongue weight of 3,000 lbs. It's 12-1/2" tall overall and will give you up to a 7" drop or rise. What capacity Equalizer weight distribution system do you have?

Hey Ken, thanks for the pictures. That's the Reese Weight Dist Shank item # RP54970 in your pictures. It has standard adjustment bolt holes spaced 1-1/4" center to center. The BulletProof Hitches Weight Distribution Shank for 3" Hitches item # BPH85RR would be a compatible replacement to the Reese Weight Dist Shank item # RP54970 in your pictures. Best Weight Distribution System for a 12,000 lbs Toy Hauler
Hey Rob! Weight distribution systems are based off of tongue weight which is 10%-15% of your trailer's total weight so that would put a regular trailer between 12,900 lbs and 1,900 lbs. Since yours is a toy hauler you're not going to get close to the 15% when you're loaded up because the weight of whatever you're hauling is going to be behind your rear axle. With this in mind, I recommend the Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # RP66075. This system has a tongue weight...

Are Fastway and Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shanks Interchangeable
Hey Peter! Yes, Fastway and Equal-i-zer shanks are interchangeable. In fact, most brands (not all) follow the standard for WDH shanks so many can be used for a variety of systems. It looks like you have a 2024 F-250. Did you get a new truck and need a 2-1/2" or 3" shank for your WDH? If that is the case you can use the Equal-i-zer # EQ90-02-4900 for a 2-1/2" or the BulletProof Hitches Weight Distribution Shank # BPH85RR for a 3". Both will work with a Fastway or Equal-i-zer system.
