Question:
The lock on the bike locking mechanism came off and was dragged on the ground so the top of the lock is destroyed and the key will not fit into the lock so we cannot unlock it from the rack. How do I replace the unit. Pleased help!

In order to replace the bike lock cable on the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack like part # Y02443 you will need to use the Replacement Cable Lock Assembly part # Y8890284. There would be no way to unlock the core you have now if the face was damaged but this is not required to replace the cable anyhow so long as it is not inserted into the pin. Please note, the above cable lock does not come with a lock core or change key which you will need therefore you will either want to let me know your key number so I can get you a new lock core with this number or you can just obtain the Yakima Same Key System part # Y07202.
