Question:

I have seen the question raised against the note that the hitches will not fit with a 20 inch spare. A response was provided although it dodged the question. Whether 18 inch or 20 inch wheel diameter makes no difference. Its what the overall diameter is of the tire. Please clean up the notes on fitment to reflect this as stating will not fit with 20 inch spare is not sufficient to determine fitment. My Durango came factory with 20 wheels all around with a spare that has an 18 inch wheel although overall tire diameter is same. The response suggested someone compare a photo of the installed hitch to compare. I dont see a scale provided. How do we know what size tire that is???

For a 2017 Dodge Durango, since you have an 18 inch wheel you can use any of the trailer hitches to fit. Most of these vehicles will have an 18 inch wheel for a spare. Since your Durango does come with 20 inch wheels, a full-size spare would be one in which your wheel would be 20 inches. For example, if you have the towing package, you are likely to have a full-size spare, and this is something you can also find out on your car's spec sheet as it should be listed.
