Safety Chain Compatibility with 2015 Dodge Durango R/T and Draw-Tite Hitch 76196

Question:

Dodge Durango R/T 2015 hitch I think Im gonna purchase the draw tight class 3 hitch that hides behind the bumper of my dodge durango RT. The only question I have is from the pictures you posted it seems like there isnt any room for the safety chains to attach to the hitch. Is that true? What are your thoughts on that? Also, I have heard you have to use different bolts that are slightly weaker than the ones that are original and already there. Thanks

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT38MR for your 2015 Dodge Durango R/T is a great option. The safety chain connections are made behind the bumper, so they will go underneath. Some models like the photo you see can remain untrimmed and connect from the back. Other models do require trimming that lower area for safety chain access.

This hitch installs with grade 5 bolts like almost all other trailer hitches. This installation requires removing your bumper beam as the hitch replaces it. The bolts are designed for this fit, so they have been tested to ensure you won't have any issues when using them to replace your current bolts.
