I want to know for certain that this element is compatibable with dometic 10 gal. heater model # gc10a-4e

I do have an option for you but the Camco RV Replacement Water Heater Element part # CAM04363 is not correct for your Atwood Water Heater Model GC10A-4E. The correct replacement element that we offer is the Camco Water Heater Element part # CAM02143 which as you can see threads in which is why the above will not work for you as that one secures using bolts.
