Fast friendly service just the part i n eeded

by:

Everything worked as expected, thank you for the quick service

by:

A little slow to heat the water but otherwise seems to work fine. If we are showering, I switch to propane and back after.

by:

Just what I needed to get my electric water distiller running again!

by:

It did the job - like ANY project there was any bump. My heater wouldn't drain. So I made a chute for the water to flow away from my trailer and switched them. HOT WATER first time since August.

by:

This was the exact replacement for the element that was in my Suburban water heater. Installation was easy with a few household tools and a 1 1/2 inch element wrench.

Heat element is working great One year later.

by:

I had a dumbass attack one day and thought I had water in the water heater. NOPE! I still had the gas side, but I like running both when I'm going to shower. Recovers faster. Anyway, yes, this item went in easy and is still working fine. I will never turn on the heater again unless I KNOW there's water in it!

by:

I always get excellent service. Thank y ou.

by:

Direct replacement for Suburban water heaters. Was shorter in length than the original but works just as well. Fast delivery and great service from etrailer.

by:

As always etrailer makes it easy. Competitive prices and shipping; quick service, easy website.

by:

Service couldn't have been quicker. Very helpful on the phone. Everything I ordered was top quality, water heater element tool is heavy duty. Element was super tight but not a problem. Haven't used heater element yet but not worried. Etrailer is tops on my list.

by:

I installed it in my Atwood 6 galons tank. I added teflon tape to prevent galvanic corrosion on the thread.

My tank is aluminum and have no sacrificial anode. The element act as one.

My question is will this Camco element act as a sacrificial rod,I hope it will.

by:

Perfect. And an easy installation.

Still good, as it should.

by:

Excellent direct replacement. I checked the local dealer and they were charging four times more for their off brand replacement. Thanks eTrailer!!!

by:

Replaced burnt out unit with this one over a year ago and it's still working great.

by:

Was sold as a replacement for my SW6DE however is much smaller than the original. I wish etrailer stocked the correct replacement, which you can find by searching for "Suburban 520900" which is an 11" 1440 Watt element, vs this 6" 1500W element.

by:

Fast shipping. Product as describe. Installed and worked great for this past year

by:

Fits perfectly and is just what we needed after forgetting to turn the bypass valves after winterizing and turning the water heater on. Just another example of OA(old age).

by:

Exactly what I needed, perfect fit. Got my water heater back up and running.

by:

I installed this in my camper and had hot water in less than a half hour. The customer service was amazing. This element wasn’t in stock so they made suggestions for different t ones. I decided to wait and they sent me emails letting me know they were keeping an eye on arrival and then when it shipped to me.

by:

etrailer is always a great resource to get just what I need quickly. I have ordered from them multiple times and talked to someone on the phone several times as well. The customer service has always been top tier

by:

Great product, fast shipping, great service ! A++

by:

It is still working just as good as the OE element it replaced. The water still gets really hot and heats up quickly. It has been a great purchase.

by:

Good product and fast service! I get all my RV parts at trailer.

by:

Product was a perfect fit and shipping was fast.

  • Replacement Water Heater for Atwood GC10A-4E
Hey Dave! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your old Atwood GC10A-4E. You don't see any Atwood heaters because they went out of business quite a while ago. If you can sort out the leak the Camco Water Heater Element # CAM02143 can replace your element and keep it going. I would say at 18 years it has definitely lived a good life so replacing it wouldn't hurt before you have other parts fail you can't repair/replace. Water heaters have largely moved away from the tanks and gone to...

  • Replacement Heating Element for a Suburban SW6DE Water Heater
I was looking through the manual for the Suburban SW6DE water heaters and found that the Suburban replacement is similar but shorter than the Camco model # CAM02143. It looks like the original one used in that water heater was discontinued and replaced with 520900. So I do believe that Camco Water Heater Element - Screw-In - 1500 Watts - 120 Volts Item # CAM02143 will work. Another option is Camco RV Replacement Water Heater Element - Universal - 1,500W/120V Item # CAM04363. Both of these...

  • Location of Heating Element on Atwood RV Water Heater
According to Dometic, the company that purchased Atwood, the MPD 93755 is an instruction booklet. To get particulars about where the element is located, I'd need the model number of the heater itself. The number should be printed or stamped onto a plate or sticker on the heater. The model number typically starts with a G. In very general terms, the heating element is accessible from the rear of the heater, there will be 2 wires leading to it, and either a nut holding it in place or 4 bolts...

  • Finding Water Heater Element in 2004 Jayco Jayfeather 27P
There should be a panel on the outside of your 2004 Jayco Jayfeather 27P on the back passenger side of the RV that you can open and see the water heater. I don't have a way to know for sure what water heater you have but in general the element is near the center and towards the bottom of the water heater. A lot of times it's behind a gas pipe fitting or two as well. I attached a picture that points out the area on a similar Atwood water heater since I don't know which exact model you have.

  • Can you Convert your RV Propane Water Heater to Electric
I have a solution for you, but we do not offer a fully electric option hot water heater for RVs. If you have an Atwood, Suburban, American, or Moreflow hot water heater, you can use the Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit # DGR6VP (6 gallon heater) or # DGR10VP (10 gallon heater). This kit will safely convert your propane water heater to electrical use while keeping your low pressure propane system in tact. The heater cord requires a 110v outlet, so if your RV electrical system does...

  • Replacing Water Heater Element on Atwood GC10A-4E Water Heater
The heating element on your Atwood model GC10A-4E water heater (our part # AT94022) should be on the backside of the unit, towards the bottom of the tank. It will actually be behind the gas line assembly, which will need to be loosened and moved out of the way to gain access to the existing element so it can be removed or replaced. I have attached an image to assist. If you need a replacement heating element you can use the Camco # CAM02143.

  • Could 1,500 watt Camco Element Replace 1,440 Watt Element
Yes, a 1,500 watt element like the part # CAM02143 that you referenced would work just fine in place of a 1,440 watt element. As long as the water heater has an 8 inch minimum tank diameter this would work well. Here's a list of the brands of water heaters this fits: American, A.O. Smith, Bradford White, Craftmaster, General Electric, GS Wood, Kenmore, Lochinvar, Maytag, Mor-Flo, Reliance, Rheem, Richmond, Ruud, Sears, State, and Whirlpool (edit: also Suburban).

  • Location of Electrical Heating Element on Atwood Gas/Electric RV Water Heater GE-9 EXT
The electrical heating element in the Atwood water heater model GE-9 EXT is located on the lower/left side of the unit as you look at it. You can find it most easily by tracing the two power wires that connect to the screw terminals on the element's base, such as with part # CAM02143. It may be necessary to remove or loosen other components to gain access to the element.

  • What to Check if RV Water Heater is Leaking
Hey Kevin, thanks for reaching out! You might need to swap out your water heater, but you also might just have a small part to replace. According to my research you'll want to check the anode rod, temp and pressure relief valves, the heating element, and other connections as well as if your tank is worn out in any places. Let me know what you end up finding out, and if you aren't sure or you aren't confident in checking these things, then I recommend having a shop do it for you or seeing...
