A little slow to heat the water but otherwise seems to work fine. If we are showering, I switch to propane and back after.

It did the job - like ANY project there was any bump. My heater wouldn't drain. So I made a chute for the water to flow away from my trailer and switched them. HOT WATER first time since August.
This was the exact replacement for the element that was in my Suburban water heater. Installation was easy with a few household tools and a 1 1/2 inch element wrench.
I had a dumbass attack one day and thought I had water in the water heater. NOPE! I still had the gas side, but I like running both when I'm going to shower. Recovers faster. Anyway, yes, this item went in easy and is still working fine. I will never turn on the heater again unless I KNOW there's water in it!

Service couldn't have been quicker. Very helpful on the phone. Everything I ordered was top quality, water heater element tool is heavy duty. Element was super tight but not a problem. Haven't used heater element yet but not worried. Etrailer is tops on my list.
I installed it in my Atwood 6 galons tank. I added teflon tape to prevent galvanic corrosion on the thread.
My tank is aluminum and have no sacrificial anode. The element act as one.
My question is will this Camco element act as a sacrificial rod,I hope it will.

Replaced burnt out unit with this one over a year ago and it's still working great.
Was sold as a replacement for my SW6DE however is much smaller than the original. I wish etrailer stocked the correct replacement, which you can find by searching for "Suburban 520900" which is an 11" 1440 Watt element, vs this 6" 1500W element.
