The Camco TastePure Drinking Water Freshener # CAM40206 is designed to prevent any algae or slime buildup in your fresh-water tank while also working to remove bad taste or odors. It will essentially help to keep the tank clean so it doesn't affect your water but it's not going to sanitize/purify the water itself.
For this you will want something like the Camco RV and Marine Premium Water Filter # CAM40631 that will purify water as it moves through the filter before entering your tap or tank. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
