Question:

We are going to purchase a C18100 Curt cargo carrier to put on our 08 Escape. We have a tow package light harness going to the back from the factory and are purchasing a DrawTite 118251 wiring harness to get power over to the hitch. What lights or light kit would work for the cargo carrier running, brake, and turn. We will also be moving the license plate over to the carrier while it is located on the car.

It would require a little drilling, but I would recommend you get a etrailer License Plate and LED Tail Light Mounting Kit for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Item # e98943-44LED. This kit comes with a license plate bracket also.

Once you drilled holes to install the # 6504 on the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18100 it would install pretty easily and work very well.

The Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118251 would also be the correct harness for your 2008 Ford Escape. I linked installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out as well.
