Question:

I bought Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier - C18131 from etrailer. I believe I will need some sort of light kit and also illumination for my license plate. FYI, I have a standard light kit wire with connector that Ive used in the past for a rental trailer. Can you please comment and make a recommendation which kit would be compatible. Thank you!

Although we offer some light kits that are specifically designed for cargo carriers, none of them will bolt up directly to your carrier.

I do not know exactly what arrangement you have with the light kit you already have, but you might be able to devise a way of mounting it to the carrier.

We do offer a more general cargo carrier light kit, etrailer License Plate and LED Tail Light Mounting Kit for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Item # e98943-44LED. You would be on your own to devise a method of attaching the lamps to the carrier, but the kit contains everything else necessary, including a license plate bracket.
