How to Loosen and Remove Hardware Holding Wesbar Taillights

Question:
I have the old style wesbar tail lights on my Trail Master trailer. The bolts that hold them on to the frame have round heads that are hidden under the waterproof protector. When I try to loosen the nuts, they just spin and there is no way to get a hold on the heads. What can I do?

You can try using a penetrating spray solvent product like WD40 or PB Blaster on the frozen nut/bolt to see if it can dissolve the corrosion holding them together. These solvents can take time to work and it may take multiple applications with waiting time in between. The other way to go is to use a bit of brute force and simply cut and/or drill out the fasteners. From your description it sounds like you will need to get a drill and a drill bit made for metal to allow you to remove the fastener.
