Yes, the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 will work with boat trailers that have electric or electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes so there will be no issues. However, it is recommend to disconnected the trailer and brake controller before backing the trailer up into water.

Yes, you are correct. In order to correctly take this measurement you will need to measure from the center of the spindle to the center of the main axle tube. I have included a picture for reference.

That's a very good question, we tend to be extra cautious and say to use 10 gauge wire because that would be more than enough. When you get into longer trailers that will end up using a lot of wire the heavier gauge wire becomes more necessary.…
