Troubleshooting Water Pump Not Working

Im trying to hook up a Hydromax water pump in my houseboat. It will not pull any water. The pump comes on but thats it. Got it to work once after removing it from under the sink but thats it. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

If your HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump # P25201 is not pumping that means it does not have proper priming so there are a large number of things to check out to try and isolate the problem. The list I added in the accompanying cut out is from a different water pump but the problem is the same.

The HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump #P25201 is a direct replacement for a 3-gallon-per-minute (GPM), 12V pump which is what you need. Based on my research, it looks like your existing Shurflo 2088-403-144 pump features these same specs so it should work…

What were you using as a power source when this happened? Is it possible it was a battery that had a lower charge at the time which caused the pump to lower it's output?
