What size air conditioning unit do I need to cool a enclosed car trailer 28x8.5 x 8 ft tall ? Thanks for the help

For a 28 foot x 8-1/2 foot enclosed car hauler a 13,500 Btu AC unit like the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM135 that you were looking at will work great. This will do a really nice job of cooling this size space with a capability to cool 500 cubic feet per minute. You might be able to get away with something a bit smaller but going with an AC unit that has a bit more capacity than needed allows it to work less and more efficiently when it does, leading to a longer lifespan and less power consumption.

This particular unit is for just the air conditioner. If you are installing a brand new system you will also need a ceiling vent which is available in the complete kit part # ACM135CH. This includes the AC, ceiling vent, start capacitor, and heat strip.
