Will the Thule Hullavator Work With Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars On a 2016 Ford Flex

Question:
Hi i have a 16 ford flex with the rhino rack set up. 2500 feet with fit kit and i believe 62 inch bars. We have a 2016 hobie outback and a 13 foot native. Both around 85 lbs. I would like a hullevator pro for at least the non flat bottom hobie. Do i need a kit to put the hullevator into the rack track of the vortex aero bars???

The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898 comes with the attachments that you will need for the channels/tracks on your Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar so you will not need anything else for this. However, the Hullavator requires that you have 4" of crossbar overhang past your mounting feet in order to offer sufficient clearance. The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar is not offered in a 62" length but it is offered in 59" as part # RRVA150B-2 and 65" as part # RRVA165B-2. The 59" long crossbars are what come standard on your Ford Flex so you may need to upgrade to the 65" long crossbars in order to use the Hullavator.
In order to fit your other kayak onto the roof, I recommend using the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier part # S512 as this will be needed because of how much space the Hullavator takes up.
