Is Curt Hitch Compatible With Weight Distribution on 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I was advised a WDH would help with sagging and aid my steering/braking by a local trailer shop. I am towing a side by side on 6x12 flat wood floor trailer - no gate @ 6-700lbs My tounge weight is the 250-275 area fully loaded with my SxS. Do I need to upgrade to the Curt in order to use a WDH? Also EAZ lift only has spring bars as low as 600lbs. I read the working range is 200-600 lbs. Is this correct?

The Curt Trailer Hitch # C13392 that fits your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a standard bumper is absolutely compatible with a weight distribution system and when used with a WDS has a 4,000 lb capacity and 400 lb tongue weight capacity.

We do not have any information about Mopar hitches and their compatibility with weight distribution but the Curt Trailer Hitch # 9883544 is guaranteed to work. In regards to EAZ Lift we do not carry them but the most ideal weight distribution system is going to be one in which your total tongue weight (TTW) is in the middle of the system's tongue weight capacity; TTW is the tongue weight of your loaded '17 Wrangler Unlimited (which you mentioned was 275 lbs) and any cargo behind the rear axle of the Jeep.

For your 275 lb tongue weight I strongly recommend the Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET because this system - which is rated for 200 lbs to 600 lbs of tongue weight - uses 4 points of sway control via friction in the spring bars to ensure you never have to worry about your trailer swaying. It also uses clamp-on brackets so you won't have to drill along your trailer frame, and allows you to back up with the system on.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
