Solution for Trailer that Needs Shorter than Standard Trailer Hubs

Im working on an old cable reel trailer with no information. The bearings are the same as DX22XR, but the hub is only 3.5. Yours says measures 4.125inch . What is the measurement from the outside of one race to the other? mine appears to be about 2 3/4 Do you think DX22XR will work?

You have a shorter stub spindle on your axle which we do not have a replacement hub that will fit. The only solution we can point you towards for your trailer is a new spindle that is longer like the BT8 spindle part # TRU94FR which would then allow you to install a similar hub that you referenced part # AKIHUB-545-2-1K which has the same 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
Spindles need to be installed perfectly square so best option is to find a shop local to you who has experience with this and let them do it as it typically requires special jigs.
