Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller # C51180 is compatible with electric over hydraulic brake actuators like the HydraStar part # HBA16-252-82 you referenced so these two would work great together. The Hydrastar actuators are the most reliable and fastest reacting so they are what we recommend the highest.

I have the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller C51180 installed with the HydraStar 1600 PSI marine plug and play system and it works just fine as long as I do not have the running lights turned on or use the blinkers. If you turn on either the running lights or blinkers it activates the HydraStar actuator. Seems like anytime the tail lights or reverse lights are on it activates the HydraStar actuator. Any ideas why there would be any power bleed-off that would cause the HydraStar actuator to activate? I am OK without using my blinkers but at dusk or night I must run my running lights. Hope I was able to explain the issue I am having and look forward to your response.
