Question:
I have a maximum width trailer and would like to use your pocket mount however I have questions. How far out does the spare sit when mounted? Can you reverse the mount and will the spare clear the bed of the flat bed, the pocket top is level with the flat bed of the trailer.

If you check out the attached dimensional photos of the Brophy Trailer Stake Pocket Spare Tire Carrier # SPTC you can see that the mounting plate sits about 6-1/2" away from the portion that sits in the stake pocket. You will simply need to hold your spare tire about 6-1/2" away from your stake pocket to see if there is enough clearance. There is no specific mounting direction for the carrier so you can have it where the spare tire is facing in towards your trailer bed or out towards the street. Just be mindful that the clearance from where the arms rest against the stake pocket to the center of the bolt holes measures 9-1/2" so you need to make sure you have proper clearance for your trailer bed.
