The adapter you need to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 part # 90885 in 2008 Ford F-150 STX is adapter part # 3035-P. I have attached a video for your reference.
If your truck came equipped with the factory 7-way then the adapter part # 3035-P is all that you need to install the brake controller. It plugs into a port under the dash.
If your truck came equipped with a 4-flat connector from the factory then you may need adapter part # 37185 to add a 7-way to the truck. Some models do have the brake (blue) and hot lead (orange or red) wires already ran from under the hood to the end of the driver's side frame rail. However, these wires are hard to access and additional wire will still be needed. I recommend part # ETBC7 to finish the installation of the 7-way plug on the truck because it comes with all of the extra wiring and components you need to wire in the 7-way plug.
