With the pin pulled, will the tri-ball part separate from the ball platform?

There are three pins on the Pro Series Adjustable 3-Ball Mount part # 63070; one to rotate the tri-ball assembly (spindle pin), one to remove the tri-ball assembly (shank pin), and one to hold the shank inside of the receiver tube (hitch pin). In order to remove the tri-ball assembly you will need to pull the spindle pin and then slide the tri-ball assembly down and off the vertical shank. Therefore, if you have the shank pin pulled then the tri-ball assembly will separate. The tri-ball assembly cannot be broken down.
I have attached a video for you as well as a photo that shows these pins but if you are worried about theft then you could easily prevent this with the Draw-Tite Lock Set for Pro Series Adjustable Ball Mounts part # 63069.
