What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this linchpin from Redline. A good reason to replace one of your older linchpins is if it's worn out or dented. You can see the ring here isn't circular like it used to be and it doesn't have (linchpin clanking) that same snap so it's gonna stay in place, and that's not good 'cause you're gonna use one of these to hold arms in place. (linchpin clanking) So, on this flatbed trailer, this is where we want to put our linchpin. It's gonna go right here, (ring snapping) snap into place.
Now that arm, (arm clanking) not gonna go anywhere when you're going down the road. The linchpin's gonna be made out of a low carbon steel and has a zinc coating so when you leave it on the side of your trailer, you don't have to worry about the elements getting to it. The linchpin is gonna have a diameter of 1/4 of an inch. It's gonna have a usable pin length of 1 3/4. Overall, it's a good idea to replace any worn out linchpins on your trailer just so it keeps everything (arm clanking) where it's supposed to stay.

Have not had any issue with the clip. Been using it on my tow bar for flat towing the Jeep. Spring is still strong and no rust.
