Published 05/12/2019 >
Question:
Im not sure but I dont think that my 2012 traverse has a tow package. there is a junction box/ area under the car that looks like the same ends/connectors as ones behind each tail light. So Im wondering why I couldnt just plug in underneath car at I think is junction/splitter for taillights?

In order to determine if your 2012 Chevrolet Traverse has the factory tow package you will want to look for a sticker in your glove box. If there is a three digital "V92" code shown then you have the factory tow package. If you do then you will want to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118384 which plugs into a single port under the rear bumper. If you do not then you will want to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118450 which plugs in behind the tail lights.
I am not sure which connector your are referring to under the vehicle as there could be several but I have attached a photo of what the plug will look like if you have the factory tow package. I have also attached an install video of the non-tow package option for you as well.
