Question:

Is the RP61421 sidewinder hitch compatible with the Mor ryde pinbox RPB72-1621HD. If so can I still use the curt rail kit C16427-204 and Reese hitch RP30047

The only way you can safely tow a fifth wheel trailer with a Ram truck that has a Ram Box is with a Sidewinder pin box replacement as the pin box would no longer swing to the sides in the truck bed and hit the narrower bed rails.

Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.

For a rail kit you can use the Curt rail kit part # C16427-204 which is a custom fit and is compatible with the air suspension of your truck.

You'll want a fixed hitch to then like the Reese 16k hitch part # RP30047 and then the correct wedge to lock the hitch to the Sidewinder part # SWW-03 and you'd be set!

So, it is confirmed that the curt rail kit is compatable with the reese 16k hitch? Why not the reese rail kit?

Yes, the Curt hitch does fit into the Reese rail kit. The rail kit is made to the industry standard size and dimensions which means the Reese hitch # RP30047 will fit and work well. I mentioned the Curt kit as it fits well and has a better price than the Reese.

Yes, the Sidewinder # RP34FR that you referenced is correct replacement for your Mor/Ryde RPB72-1621HD. They both are designed for the 1621HD pin boxes. Also the Curt rail kit part # C16427-204 is compatible with the Reese hitch # RP30047 as well.
