Hello,can you tell me if this wiring harness item# 118776 will be compatible with the 2018 honda accord touring model non-hybrid.and I would like to know if there is a alternative method for wiring the black hot wire instead of to the battery

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118776 will absolutely fit your 2018 Honda Accord Touring (non-hybrid); I checked with the manufacturer for you to confirm this.

As for the installation and running the black wire to your Accord's battery, this is a common question and certainly understandable but it is necessary to run that wire directly to your battery. The reason is because the other 12 volt sources in a vehicle tie into the system's electrical systems and are not rated for the additional power the harness will consume, potentially damaging those systems. I have added a link to a help article showing how to route a power wire to your battery which I recommend reading.

Running the wire to the battery of your '18 Accord really is the most involved part of installing Harness # 118776; it is otherwise a relatively easy install with no splicing necessary. I do recommend using Trim Pad Remover # ALL648544 to help remove the covers in your trunk so you can more easily access your tail lights and when you are finished with the install should add Dielectric Grease # 11755 which is going to prevent your connector from getting corroded and increase its durability and lifespan.

For a trailer hitch on your 2018 Accord I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11525. The correct ball mount for this hitch is the Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593 which does come with a pin and clip so the only other thing you would need is a hitch ball, and the correct size will depend on your trailer's coupler. You will need either 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball # 19258
