For wiring trailer brake assemblies we always recommend going with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot. Even if the leads on the magnets are a smaller gauge it's best to go heavier for the wiring that goes from the trailer connector to the assemblies since that will be a longer distance.
