Question:
Placement of rear shackles from center of bolt hole in spring how far back from center on frame
asked by: Jim C
Helpful Expert Reply:
The placement of your leaf spring hangers will be dependant on the location of your trailer axle (see photo). Therefore, I cannot give you an exact location on the trailer frame that they will need to be installed. However, I can tell you how far apart they must be installed but only if you use a kit we offer, the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit part # APS4 with the Double-Eye Spring part # e57SR. If you use these two parts then the leaf spring hangers will need to be 24-7/8" apart. The leaf spring hanger spacing will be dependent on the leaf spring and equalizer which is why I cannot give an exact measurement unless I know exactly what you are using.
