Will Hands-Free Liftgate Work With Trailer Hitch Installed on 2019 Honda Pilot Elite

Question:

Curt fits 2019 Pilot, but for Touring/Elite there is an auto tailgate sensor in the middle of the bumper where the hitch receiver is. Can you provide video instruction on how to move it so the sensor will work? Also, a good idea to add this to the installation video for these trims. Many thanks in advance,

By auto tailgate sensor I assume you are talking about the hands-free liftgate on your 2019 Honda Pilot Elite. To install the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13146 on a '19 Pilot, you will need to move the sensor if you want to retain functionality of your hands-free liftgate, A sensor relocation kit (Honda part number I08L91-TG7-100C) is available directly through Honda. It moves the sensor off center to accommodate the installation of the trailer hitch on the 2019-2021 Pilot.
