Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2019 Subaru Forester for Bike Rack

It appears that you may be looking at the two holes on the receiver based on your question and the pin hole closest to the receiver is not the hitch pin hole. It is a smaller hole that is designed specifically for a pin that is no longer necessary or available. The only thing to consider with your bike rack is you will need 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost bumper so you will need a bike rack compatible with that measurement. Normally the folded position on a platform rack is the smallest distance.

It is a smaller hole that was designed specifically for a custom hitch lock that is no longer available. It will not be used with a bike rack.

The only thing to consider with your bike rack is you will need 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost bumper so you will need a bike rack compatible with that measurement. Normally the folded position on a platform rack is the smallest distance.

No problem at all. The Draw-Tite hitch # 76271 will fit your 2019 Forester well. The hitch receiver is recessed under the bumper so I was trying to give you the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole of the receiver to that outside edge of the bumper so you could ensure the shank of your bike rack was long enough to have clearance for all its functions. Knowing now that you have the Saris Freedom EX 2 Bike Platform Rack SA4412F this will be an excellent hitch choice that will work well with your bike rack. The rack when folded has the closest part of the rack at 8 inches from that hitch pin hole. You will have 3 inches of clearance when the rack is folded up and 9 inches of clearance when it is folded down for use. This combination will work very well for you.
