Can the Hitch Ball On a Pintle Hook and Ball Combo Be Replaced

Question:

Im looking for a replacement ball for a combo pintle hitch that I have. Right now, Ive got a 2inch ball thats 3-3/8inch from the top of the ball to the shoulder and it has a 1-1/4inch shank diameter. Do you have a 2-5/16inch that is the same height so my pintle will properly engage?

I do have an option for you but I don't recommend replacing the hitch ball on your pintle hook and ball combo. The reason for this is because unless you replaced the hitch ball with an exact replica then you run the risk of the hook disengaging and losing the trailer which is an enormous safety hazard. I looked through our section of pintle hitch balls and none of them match the exact dimensions that you provided.

For a 2-5/16" hitch ball and pintle hook combo, I recommend the Buyers Products 8 Ton Combination Hitch part # 33710055 which mounts using a standard 4 bolt pattern. It has a 16,000 lb gross trailer weight rating.
