Recommended Tire Chains for 275/65-20 Size Dual Tires on a 2014 GMC Sierra 3500

Question:

Hi, i have a 2014 gmc 3500, drw 4x4. tire size 275/65-20, need snow chains for mountain trips, i will not be towing while in the snow. do you have any recommendations? thanks for your help!!

Since you will be going into the mountains I highly recommend using chains that have square links. For this we have the part # PWE3231S that fits the 275/65-20 size tires on your 2014 GMC Sierra 3500. The square links are best for heavy duty applications like what you will be facing.

Please note that when I looked at the online version of the owner's manual for your Sierra it states on page 10-70 not to use tire chains if you have dual wheels and for single rear wheel applications to only use chains on the rear wheels. I'm not sure how much of an impact this will have on your vehicle since you have it listed but it is good to note this regardless. You may want to check to make sure that the 5.6 mm square links will fit without damaging any components by your rear wheels as well.
