Recommended Replacement Wheel/Tire for a Trailex Catamaran Trailer

Question:

Looking for recommendation on 12, 4 on 4, Load Range D+ tires for my catamaran trailer. Bias or radial? Overall loaded weight is about 1800 lbs.

For your Trailex Catamaran Trailer, I recommend using the Taskmaster 5.30R12 Radial Trailer Tire part # TT53012C. The reason I recommend this tire is because it has a speed rating of 81 mph which is unlike most other boat trailer tires of its size which are limited to 65 mph. Therefore, you will be able to travel at highway speed without having to worry about the tires on your trailer getting too hot which is what causes blowouts. This tire also has a load range c weight capacity and comes with a two year warranty. Please note that load range c rating will give you a total weight capacity of 2,100 lbs which will be plenty for your trailer. The radial ply tire is more designed for highway use which I can only assume is how you will be traveling with your boat trailer therefore this is what I recommend for you. The radial ply will allow the tire to run cooler which will then allow it to last longer.
