Replacement Square Shank Gooseneck Hitch Ball for 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel

Question:

I have a 2009 Dodge 2500 6.7 Diesel. When I bought it, the gooseneck ball was missing. Now I need one. I thought the hitch came with the pickup new. There is a square hole in the bed that the ball goes into. The hole measures 2-1/2 inches square and it has a single pin that holds it in. I was thinking a replacement ball would be your part # BWGNXA2000. It would be nice if there was a one that would turn over and leave the bed flat. Please advise...

The B&W 2-5/16-inch Replacement Gooseneck Hitch Ball # BWGNXA2000 is the correct part for the under-bed hitch in your 2009 Dodge Ram 2500. It will fit the 2-1/2-inch square opening in your bed. There are other similar replacement B&W balls for other applications that are described in the linked video, which I included for reference. As shown in the video this ball is the correct one for your Ram 2500.

This is a Turnoverball type that stows inside the ball hole when not in use.
