Question:

Will this part GY55XR work with the factory puck system in the Chevy trucks? I have a 2022 Silverado 2500 with the shorter bed and need some extra turning clearance when pulling my horse trailer.

Yes, it will since your truck is a 2022! The 5" Offset Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # GY55XR is designed to work in the 2020 and newer Silverado and Sierra's with the GM factory puck system. It will push the connection point for the gooseball and your cattle trailer back 5" towards your tailgate. This adapter has a 25,000 lbs capacity.

If you have a 2016 - 2019 GM truck with the factory puck system you'll need the Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for GM OEM Puck Systems item # GY23XR. GM changed the pattern for their puck systems in 2020.
