Question:
I broke a Hydralic line on my trailer and drove 400 miles and didn’t know it. When I stopped the actuator was pumping. I repaired the line and put fluid I. It and bled the brakes and now I still don’t have brakes and the pump comes on when I hit the brakes. Any ideas. It is Dexter 12,000 axles with disc brakes

The pump should come on when you hit the brakes with your Dexter EOH system. I hope you have the Dexter # K71-651 for disc brakes versus the # K71-650 you asked from which will not work with disc brakes because it won't provide enough pressure.
If you have the correct system and the actuator pump is working, then the issue would be in your hydraulic lines or in your electric brake controller settings. The settings would only have to do with the amount of power for braking pressure, where as the hydraulic lines issue would simply not apply pressure at all.
If your brakes have no pressure you may need to replace the unit because the master cylinder is not a replacement option separate from the entire assembly. If you need to replace your EOH system I recommend the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # HBA16 which we find has far less issues and troubleshooting than the Dexter actuators.
