Question:

Still don’t see installation guide. Also, the picture you attached has 2 flat brackets with holes drilled in them for 1 side of the ladder rack. The product itself, when purchasing, only comes shows it come with 2? This is why I am asking for installation guide. I’d like to see if you only need one per side or what.

For your 2018 Ford F-150 the TracOne ladder rack will use the Toolbox Mount Kit for Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Racks # TH41000 to give you the compatibility you are seeking by providing threaded holes for your toolbox instead of using J hooks.

I tried to find the installation for you on the TracOne, but found the same kit on the G2 model instruction sheet to assist. You will notice the rounded shims and plates are only needed if the depth of your toolbox warrants use from extending behind the platform base to be used as a separate clamp from the ladder rack. That is why there are only two metal brackets and 2 rubber shims along with two bolts and under rail clamps.
