Question:
not sure what hitch to get for our 2018 Elantra GT. this is the hatchback. we want to be able to use a bike carrier for our e-bikes. you might as well recommend one of those too. the two bikes weigh 56 and 61 pounds.

For your 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback, I recommend the Curt model # C11509. As long as you don't have dual exhausts the USA-made Curt hitch is a solid choice for using a bike rack. Curt recommends using an accessory support strap # 18050 with this hitch to help take some of the stress off the hitch tube. This is a good idea with any hitch.
For your heavier electric bikes there are several good rack options but there is one particular platform bike carrier that leads the way for use with e-bikes.
Thule's EasyFold carrier # TH903202 is specially designed for e-bikes. It handles bike weights up to 65-lbs each, features unique clamps that fit virtually any frame style and it includes locks. It even has a foot-operated tilt mechanism, built-in wheels for easily moving it around the garage, and it includes a loading ramp so you don't have to lift those heavy bikes. True to its name it folds up to a compact size for storage and it will fit in both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, meaning it may be the last bike rack you ever need to buy.
Please refer to the linked review video for more details on the EasyFold and to the included photo that shows the tilt lever and built-in wheels on this exceptionally well-engineered bike carrier.
