Question:
Is the tongue retractable or does it need to be removed in order to shorten it up for space saving.

The Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer - 66" # Y08106 for space saving will need the tongue removed. With the tongue removed, the trailer is 6 feet long. I've attached a photo of this system with tongue and wheels removed for storage to assist.
