Is the tongue retractable or does it need to be removed in order to shorten it up for space saving.

The Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer - 66" # Y08106 for space saving will need the tongue removed. With the tongue removed, the trailer is 6 feet long. I've attached a photo of this system with tongue and wheels removed for storage to assist.

When you store the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer #Y08106 the trailer will be approximately 6' long. The tongue would be need to be removed when stored so the extension won't add anything to the store height since it'd get removed anyway.…

Hey Richard, if you leave the wheels on the Yakima Rack and Roll trailer part #Y08106 it would stick out from the wall 22 inches. If you took them off it would be 14 inches since the wheels are 16 inch in diameter.
