Does the T-One Wiring Harness 118727 Require Programing on a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

Question:
I have a 2018 Grand Cherokee Altitude. I assumed it came pre-wired for trailer lights, but it didn’t. I have read several threads that say the dealer needs to flash the computer. Is that necessary? Will this harness work without having to do that?

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118727 for your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee will simply tie into the vehicle's tail light circuits therefore you won't need to have the dealer reflash or reprogram the ECU. If you were to use a wiring harness that connects to a tow plug on the vehicle like the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118384 then there would be the possibility that you need to take the vehicle to the dealer to have them reflash or reprogram the ECU.
