Question:

kuat sherpa bike rack - have a 2 inch bike rack but 1 1/4 inch hitch standard adapter is very shaky does Kuat make a better 2 inch to 1 1/4 inch adapter?

There is a potential way for you to stabilize your Kuat Sherpa if you are having issues with an adapter to fit it in your 1-1/4 inch hitch. While the best option would be to install a 2 inch hitch on your vehicle (if one is available) what you can do to help stabilize a Sherpa with a 2 inch shank like # SH22G is use the Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories # 18050.

If you take a look at the accompanying photo a customer sent in you can get an idea of how the strap works; I have also added a video review which shows exactly how Strap # 18050 works.
