There is an easy way to figure out how to determine what height setting a fifth wheel hitch such as the Reese M5 # RP30890 needs to be in your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500, just keep in mind you will need five to six inches of space from your Silverado's bed rails to your trailer as in the accompanying photo.
To determine the height simply measure from the the bottom of your trailer's pin box to the ground; after that measure from the top of your Sierra's truck bed to the ground. The difference between those measurements will be correct hitch height.
The Reese M5 # RP30890 is a fantastic option and has height settings that are adjustable from between 14 inches and 20 inches, which is more adjustment than most hitches offer. This hitch will fit directly in the puck system of your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 and uses a single-piece jaw that latches onto your king pin, ensuring complete contact and minimizing the amount of rattling. Additionally, the hitch head on the M5 can be offset by one inch either forward or back for optimal clearance cab clearance.
The Reese M5 fifth wheel also offers a simplified way for you to hook up your trailer with its fully articulating head. The Tow/No Tow indicator is another handy feature of the M5; it will show a green indicator when you are locked out and ready to tow and a red indicator if you are not ready to tow.
This hitch has a 20,000 lb capacity and comes with a lifetime warranty. The accompanying photo shows how this hitch will look when installed in your truck and I have added a link to a video review of this hitch for you to check out as well.
