Undermount Design

This sink has an undermount design. Undermount sinks install from below the counter and attach with the perimeter lip, which helps increase counter space. And because the lip is placed against the underside, it is incredibly easy to clean food and other debris from the counters without it getting caught in the lip. Undermount sinks are generally constructed from higher quality materials such as stainless steel, so they usually tend to last longer than drop-in sinks.

If you're replacing your sink, you'll simply use the existing cut-out hole in your countertop. If you're upgrading your indoor or outdoor sink setup, you may need to enlarge the hole. It should be 3/4" smaller than the overall length and width of the sink. Either way, once you have a proper size hole, place it against the underside before securing it to the counter with the included mounting brackets. Once the sink has been installed, it is compatible with any faucet setup and standard 3-1/2" garbage disposals and drain baskets.

Video Transcript for Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink: The Breakdown

Hi there I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Better Bath Stainless Steel Single Bowl RV Kitchen Sink. This is a 25 inch long by 15 inch wide and six inch deep single bowl, rectangular sink. That's going to replace or upgrade the sink in your RV camper or boat kitchen. This is gonna give you a nice wide bowl so you have more room to wash your larger pots and pans. Maybe some smaller pets if they get muddy while you're out exploring nature.

This is going to mount under the sink. So it is going to give you lots of room. You can see there's no cutouts for your faucets. So it is gonna be compatible with all faucets setups. Your drain hole diameter here is three and a half inches.

So this is gonna be a great option to upgrade or replace your sink in your boat, camper, RV. Or it can also work to upgrade an outdoor sink as well. Because this is made of a durable 20 gauge stainless steel construction. So it is gonna resist rust, will hold up really well for you. It is an undermount design.

So will mount underneath your counter, to the bottom side of your counter. So again, that's gonna give you more clearance up at the top, more counter space. They do include the brackets that you'll need to secure it to the bottom of your counter. However, they don't include the hardware to get those brackets mounted. So you will have to provide that yourself.

This is IAPMO certified, CSA compliant and ASME certified. So you can trust it is gonna be high quality. It's gonna do a great job for you. So if you are looking to replace or upgrade a single bowl sink like this, this is going be a great option for you. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

  • Replacement RV Sink Options For A 13-3/8" x 24-1/2" Cutout Hole
The closest double bowl option that we currently offer is the Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink - White # LC29FR. This sink is a top-mount drop-in design and would require a cutout hole 23.94" W x 16.44" L so you'd have to trim the cutout hole larger in order for it to fit. It also comes in gray # LC808488 and parchment # LC85ZR. We do offer a single bowl option, part # LC42UD, that's an undermount design and would have enough of a lip to mount in your 13-3/8" x 24-1/2" cutout hole.

  • Additional Parts for Sink Installation
The strainer that I recommend using with the Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink # LC42UD is the LaSalle Bristol RV Kitchen Sink Drain w/ Strainer Basket # 34439166. In addition to this you will need all of your pipes and connections as well as solvent like part # 3447530889. I've attached a link to our selection of plumbing pieces for you to check out, but I won't be able to tell you exactly what you need when it comes to pipes since each RV is different in design.

  • Could Better Bath UnderMount Kitchen Sink # LC42UD Fit 24 by 14 Sink Opening
The Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink part # LC42UD would work for you. The flanges of it are 1 inch wider and longer than your opening and the bowl is 1 inch narrower and shorter so it would fit really well actually. It's normally an undermount but you could use it as a top mount.

  • Can Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink LC42UD Replace Double Sink
You can replace your double bowl sink with the single bowl Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink # LC42UD. As for fit, you need to ensure the measurements are correct. The # LC42UD measures 25" long x 15" wide x 6" deep overall, and has a 2" lip.

  • Can The Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink # LC42UD Be Top-Mounted To The Coutertop
The Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink # LC42UD is designed to be an undermount so it really wouldn't look the best as a top-mount. If you really wanted to you could just caulk the bottom of the lip of the sink to the countertop, but it's a pretty thin gauge without a bevel so it's not the best looking option. What are the dimensions of the cutout hole in the countertop? I might be able to find a top-mounted sink that could fit instead.
