Question:
Hi. I want to put a wiring kit on my 2011 Honda Pilot 4WD EX. Is there a kit or connector that will allow 7 RV and 4 flat connectors in the same housing? Factory mount in the bumper is for 7 RV. I use both type connectors and would prefer not to use a 7 to 4 flat adapter if I can avoid it. On my F350, for instance, the connector allows both 7 and 4 in the same housing. Make sense?? I will be getting several wiring kits. do you have a preference of brand - Tekonsha vs Curt or Hoppy, etc? Thanks.

If the factory 7-way in the bumper of your 2011 Honda Pilot EX uses a round U.S. Car type connector (shown in the linked photo) then you can easily convert to the combination 4-pole/7-way connector type using part # HM40950. This combination connector simply plugs right in to the U.S. Car connector.
If you instead need to hard-wire a connector you can use Hopkins part # HM48470 which includes a mounting bracket. This vehicle connector accepts 4-pole, 5-pole and 7-way wiring. It has screw terminals on its rear side to make the wiring connections, as shown in the other linked photo.
I recommend using dielectric grease # 11755 on both connectors to help block corrosion from exposure to moisture and dirt.
