Question:

This is an older cargo box, 2002 ish. I need to replace the locking hardware inside the box - not the actual lock, but the metal bars that slide and the mechanism that turns and locks the box when the key is turned. All I can find for this box is mounting hardware and the actual lock core.

I reached out to my contact at Thule and the bars you are seeking are not available as a replacement option. They have discontinued those style locks so you will be forced to improvise or upgrade.

If you choose to improvise, I recommend using the Replacement Hardware Kit, # SR05587.

If you need to seal extra holes, you can use the Loctite RTV 598 High-Performance Silicone Gasket Maker # LT37467 to keep the box weather tight.
