Question:

Hi, I have a Ford Transit 350HD with a camper conversion. The GAWR for the rear axle is 6,720# and per the CAT scale, we are running 5,740#. We would like to lift the rear about an inch or so, but dont want to make the ride too harsh. Which supersprings would you recommend: SSA42 1,600# capacity SSA43 1,900# capacity Thanks!

SuperSprings explains their weight ratings in the following way: "If you were to take the ends of the SuperSprings, apply pressure down, and turn the arch into a straight line, this is how we rate their capacity."

They also have three different settings, including a "medium" that will offer the support you are looking for in your 2017 Ford Transit T350HD but without creating a harsh ride. Due to this I recommend the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA43, with a 1,900 lb capacity, over the 1,650 lb capacity of SuperSprings # SSA42 because you have a heavy load at 5,740 lbs.

I assume that was measured with your camper not fully loaded, and without all the passengers and gear you will potentially be housing. Even if it was, the 5,740 lb load is heavy enough that the 1,900 lb capacity SuperSprings # SSA43 are still the best option for you.
