What Sumo Springs Are Recommended For My Ford Transit T350 2015 Rear Suspension

Updated 10/25/2021 | Published 10/23/2021

Question:

My 2015 Ford Transit 350 medium height passenger van rear suspension needs help. 60,000 miles. All but the second to last seats have been removed. There is very little other weight in the van. Anyone that seats in the very back seats will get somewhat sea sick. The front seats ride fine however the backs seats going down the highway are not fun. The lightly loaded van also likes to bounce up when the rear wheels go over a speed bump. I was looking into the sumo springs and possibly new rear shocks. Can you recommend what rating sumo springs that others have use that will make the back of the van ride like the front of the van. Thanks for your time

We can definitely find a suspension enhancement that will work for your 2015 Ford Transit T350. My first suggestion would be to take care of your suspension first if you think there is a problem. None of the suspension enhancements are designed to help a vehicle that has suspension that does not work properly. Once that is taken care of, you can look at the different options. If you go with the Sumo Springs, I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle, pat # SSR-121-47. They have a 1,500 lb capacity and they provide a bit more support than the Sumo Springs you linked to your question. They are designed to add more support and load control to your vehicle as the load gets heavier, whether your are hauling cargo or people. If your load is not as heavy, you will get more cushion from the ride since the Sumo Springs will not be as compressed.

I have included a product description link and two video links below.
