What is Difference in Capacity of SumoSprings Kits SSA42 and SSA43

Question:

Question: what does Load Leveling Capacityinch mean when choosing between the Sumo SuperSprings A42 and A43. If your van before conversion weighed 5980 pounds and when conversion finished plus load weighs 9000, then is the load leveling you need=9000 minus 5980 or 3020? So in this case you would need the A43 which has a Load leveling Capacity of 2900. Maybe I have this all wrong, which is totally possible. Thanks

SumoSprings has to carefully word how much addition support their kits like the # SSA43 and # SSA42 provide since they don't want people to think they will be gaining additional suspension capacity when that's not what these kits are designed to do.

These will allow you to have more support to carry the weight capacity of the vehicle in a safer way if that makes more sense.

For the weights you mentioned I would go with the higher rated # SSA43 to gain as much additional support as you can.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Maybe I don't exactly understand what the Super Springs do once installed. I'm assuming, maybe wrong, that they will return some of the rear sag because of the load? So for instance, if the van sags 2 inches approximately, when loaded, the Super Springs will raise that more up to the level before the addition of the weight.

@Rb7 The simplest way I can put it is the kits make the suspension stiffer so that with the weight of any cargo the sag is greatly reduced. The kit would prevent your vehicle from sagging the full 2 inches you are experiencing when loaded.
