Question:
I cant seem to raise my jacks when using the hookup to a towing vehicle with a dead battery in the camper. I bought a new deep cycle battery. Can I raise the jacks without a towing vehicle and just by using the campers deep cycle battery ??? It didnt work when I tried it tonight.

You should be able to operate your landing gear jacks off of a deep cycle battery on your 5th wheel trailer. You said that you just bought a new deep cycle battery so it makes me wonder if you have completely charged it.
If you have been using your battery while camping then it is possible that it is simply depleted and doesn't have enough power to operate your landing gear. You will need to use the battery in your vehicle to operate your jacks if the battery in your 5th wheel is dead. You can also use the manual override (if equipped) to operate your jacks.
We have the CTEK MULTI US 7002 # CTEK56353 that you can use to charge your deep cycle battery when you have access to AC power.
You can also use the Go Power Eco Solar Kit # 34273836 to trickle charge your battery while you are on the road. This will take a bit longer to charge the battery but it will help.
