Where to Find Brake Controller Install Port on 2018 GMC Acadia

Question:

I have a push button emergency brake, so the brake controller plug location is not correct as in the video. Do you know where it is?

Your 2018 GMC Acadia actually has blunt cut wires for you to splice in a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. The last Acadia to use the Adapter # 3026-P that you referenced was the 2017 Limited which was the same as the 2016 model year. The 2017 New Body and newer have the blunt cut wires up under the dash.

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2018 Acadia and on page 278 it says that the blunt cut wires can be found above the parking brake assembly and you will need to connect the following wires from the Acadia to the following functions on your brake controller:

Blue - Trailer Brakes
Red/Black or Red/Blue - 12V Power
White/Blue - Stoplight Signal (only gets hot when pedal is pressed)
Black - Ground

where do you find the brake control wires on a 2018 terrain with the trailer package

I wasn't able to find any solid info on where the factory brake controller wiring is located on your Terrain. The owner's manual doesn't specify this for some reason. Typically if equipped the wiring would be behind the dash, usually above the parking brake. Your local GMC dealer might have some more info but another option would be a controller like the Curt Echo # C51180 that just plugs into the 7-Way so you don't need to worry about any wiring inside the cab.

Yeah- except the 2018 Acadia wiring *actually* is as follows: one black, one white, and TWO blue wires. Not blue/[color] mind you, but two solid blue wires.
