Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe built-in scale hitch with two stainless steel balls for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This ball mounts going to be ideal for those looking for a highly durable and easy-to-use hitch. This features a built-in scale that's going to let you easily measure your tongue weight, and that's going to make sure that you have better towing and safety performance. And this is also going to slide into your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver.

And as I mentioned, you're gonna get two stainless steel balls. You're gonna get a 2 5/16 inch and a two-inch ball so you can tow different types of trailers. And then this is also going to give you, when you have the shank in this orientation, a maximum drop of six inches. And then when you flip this over, a maximum rise of seven inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch. So this is going to be very versatile for various towing setups, giving you that adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights, all with the same vehicle.

Now with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're going to get a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds. With the two-inch ball, it's gonna be 10,000 pounds. And then this unit has a maximum tongue weight of 2200 pounds. So this does feature a tongue weight scale, as you can see right here, built right into the ball mount platform that's gonna help you balance your trailer for safer towing. The scale will let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow.

And it's a very simple operation. This is going to automatically give you a measurement every time you couple your trailer. So this is going to be efficient, it's gonna be hassle-free. It's gonna eliminate that need for separate or commercial scales. This also features this dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height very easy.

And let me walk you through that real quick. I'm gonna take one of the keys here. I'm going to insert it into the key lock or the keyway there, give it a turn. That's going to allow me to easily remove this. While this is removed, I just wanted to point out that our pins here are durable aluminum, along with the housing. And then our lock is plated steel. So this is going to hold up really well for you against the elements, and it's going to do a great job of making sure that your ball mount platform is securely attached to the shank. But I just wanted to show you how easily this is going to slide up and down so you can get that height adjustment that you're looking for. And then another feature that I wanted to point out is this is stowable. So all you have to do is put the ball mount platform behind this. Obviously you're gonna line up the holes, and replace that dual pin slider lock. So when you have it in this orientation, you're not gonna have to worry about accidentally banging up your shins against the ball platform. If you're walking behind your truck, this is going to be ideal. If you're not going to be towing, that ball mount platform will be out of your way. So very easy to do. While I have this ball platform removed, let me show you how easy it is to swap out the balls. So inside there we have a retaining pin, and typically, you can just tip that over like that, and that pin will fall out. But if it does get tight in there, it does have this ring that you can use to pull that out as well. But as you can see, my two-inch ball can easily be removed from the platform. And then I'm gonna swap this out for my 2 5/16 inch ball. You do wanna line up the holes, as you can see there. And then let me come around so I can see what I'm doing. You'll just quickly replace the pin, push it all the way in, so it's in that cavity, and that ring is out of the way. Then I'm gonna bring my shank back into place here, and then you can just slide that back in. And again, gonna easily be able to get that height adjustment that you're looking for. And then I'm gonna go ahead and replace my dual pin slider lock, line up the holes, and we're secure and good to go. And it does include this cap here that's going to protect that keyway from dust, dirt, debris, moisture, all that good stuff. Now another feature that I really like here is it does include this hitch pin lock, and I didn't mention here, but you will get four keys. Everything is keyed alike, so one key will operate the hitch pin lock and our dual pin slider lock. This is gonna be very easy to operate. It's got a cap to protect that keyway. And so one key will operate everything. You'll basically have three backup keys, so you're not gonna need separate keys or different keys for different locks or anything like that. So those keys are included. Now let me go ahead and give you some measurements. Measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, we're sitting about 8 1/2 inches. Moving to the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole at the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. This hitch is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability. This is a premium hitch, and it features a premium black Cerakote finish. And that finishes a ceramic coating that's gonna give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look great, but if you tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to do a great job of protecting this hitch, keeping it looking great on the back of your truck, and helping it to work properly for many years to come.
