Question:

Hi, I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Montero Sr with factory roof rails. Im interested in this roof basket but Im not sure if it will be able to get installed with the the factory rails. Because I want the basket to cover my whole roof. Any help? Im very interested in this product. Thanks!

I verified with Surco that the Safari Rack 5.0 roof baskets do fit the factory raised rails on your 1994 Mitsubishi Montero. It uses included adapters to mount to the rails.

The recommended basket is the 60 inch long model, part # SPS5060-1101. If your rails are long enough for the 84 inch model, part # SPS5084-1101, you can use it instead but when I spoke with Surco they weren't very confident it would fit on your Montero. The 60 inch is definite fit though.
